Banked resets are one-time Codex usage-limit refreshes saved to your account, held until you use them or they expire. They aren't purchased credits and they don't permanently raise the limits on your plan.
New accounts received one banked reset under the following conditions:
September 3, 2026: Plus, Pro, and Business new accounts (including newly added Standard and Premium seats) created before 10:00 PM Pacific Time.
September 4, 2026: Plus, Pro, and Business new accounts (including newly added Standard and Premium seats) created before 8:00 PM Pacific Time.
Eligible existing Plus, Pro, and Business users in good standing (Standard and Premium seats) received a banked reset on both September 3 and September 4.
Note: We issued a global reset on September 7, 2026 to Plus, Pro, and Business users worldwide — that reset applied to your account immediately, cannot be saved for later, and does not appear as a banked reset.
A banked reset is only consumed when at least one eligible usage window actually refreshes. If no usage window can be reset, it remains available.
