Anthropic introduces Claude Fable 5.1 and Claude Mythos 5.1, the same underlying model with different safeguard tiers: Fable 5.1 is generally available, Mythos 5.1 is gated through trusted access for cybersecurity and life sciences. Cache read pricing cuts typical costs ~25% versus Fable 5 and up to ~45% on highly agentic workflows. Enterprise Frontier Safeguards (EFS) stores data in customer-controlled cloud while preserving adversarial-defense quality, equivalent to zero data retention. Terminal-Bench-Science jumps from 24.7% (Fable 5) to 52.6%, AutomationBench from 17.1% to 31.4%, OSWorld 2.0 strict from 36.1% to 41.7%.
